Canada Inks Up February Blog Hop!
Hello and welcome to my new little corner of the web!
For my contribution to this months Birthday theme blog hop, I had to play with the cute cat stamp from the current mini catalog. My daughter has an all black cat and currently lives in blue and purple clothes, so that is what inspired this card.
I started by using some of the lovely paint texture patterned paper from Fancy Flora 6x6 DSP in the mini catalogue for the front of my card on some basic white cardstock for the card base. Then I cut some shimmery white CS and using my aqua painter created a mottled water color effect on the shimmery paper using pool party and highland heather inks. I stamped my cat in memento black ink as well as the greeting. I mounted that to the card base, then using some double sided tape, created a ribbon ruffle along the bottom to finish it off. Super cute and simple, and the perfect birthday card for my daughter.
Supplies used:
Love Cats stamp set (cat image)
Cottage Rose stamp set (greeting)
Highland Heather ink
Pool Party ink
Shimmery White Cardstock
Fancy Flora 6x6 DSP
Basic White Cardstock for the base
Memento Black ink
Aquapainters
Double sided tear tape
White Frayed Ribbon (FREE with SAB!)
